Befriending someone living with dementia
This training is a perfect opportunity for you to gain a better understanding of dementia, regardless of your level of previous experience. After attending you will have a basic knowledge of what dementia is and will have gained more confidence to visit a link friend living with dementia.
We cover what dementia is, how it can affect individuals and how we can help people live well with dementia. We explore how a person’s daily life can be affected by dementia and give ideas for communication tips when visiting a link friend with dementia.

“What a great discussion and presentation. Before I had so many pre-conceived ideas about dementia and you really opened my eyes to the opportunities and to see the positive rather than the negative! Thank you so much!”
