Operations Coordinator

Hours: Full-time. Permanent

Salary: Between £23,400 and £27,300 per annum depending on experience.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to play a key role in supporting our core services and activities. You’ll assist with client referrals, help with the management of key projects as well as coordinate transport for our Link Friends to access activities and events. A strong command of Microsoft 365 is essential, as you'll manage and improve automated processes, ensuring clear documentation. We’re after someone with great IT and Excel skills, a 'can-do' attitude, and a knack for finding creative solutions. GDPR knowledge and strong organisational skills are essential, as the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to dynamic situations is key to success in this role.

About us

The Link Visiting Scheme is a highly tailored and personalised befriending scheme which helps to improve the mental and physical health, well-being, and independence of older people. A network of volunteers visits isolated and lonely, older people (“Link Friends”) in their own homes every week - “Link-Ups”. For many “Link Friends”, a weekly visit from a Link volunteer is the highlight of their week.

Well over 1,000 Link Friends have benefited over the years and there are currently over 349 active friendships, “Link Ups” in place. Lives have been given much more purpose and joy, enabling lonely and isolated older people to re-integrate into the community and build new, lasting friendships.
