Festive Crafting
Festive creativity blooms at Link to Nature Christmas event
The holiday spirit was in full swing at St Paul’s Parish Rooms last Saturday as 30 Link Friends and volunteers gathered for a festive afternoon of crafting Christmas centrepieces as part of our Link to Nature project.
We provided fresh foliage and hazel twigs plus an assortment of adornments, ranging from pine cones, baubles, bows and other sparkly decorations and following a short demonstration from Pauline from the Wokingham Horticultural Society, everyone set to work! It was a wonderfully calm and creative afternoon and everyone did an amazing job.
We were thrilled to be joined by Rt Hon Clive Jones MP, who not only mingled with the guests but also showcased his creative skills by making his own centrepiece.
The event was a resounding success, leaving everyone with beautiful centrepieces and great memories of a really fun afternoon.
Feedback from Link Friends and volunteers:
“What a lovely afternoon, you really do us proud”
“My display is in my hallway with pride”
“My ladies talked about the event and how much they enjoyed the afternoon all the way home. Definitely a highlight of the year!”
