Celebrating Community Connections at Our Open Day
We had the pleasure of hosting a special 'Open Day' at the beautifully refurbished All Saints Church in Wokingham. This event was an extension of our regular Community Cafe, which takes place every Thursday where everyone is welcome to come along.
We were thrilled to welcome supporters, funders, local businesses, volunteers, Link Friends, dignitaries, and councillors to showcase the impactful work we do for the residents of Wokingham Borough. We were honoured to have several distinguished guests in attendance, including Cllr Adrian Mather – Mayor of Wokingham Borough, Cllr Rob Comber – Mayor of Wokingham Town, Cllr Juliet Anderson – Mayor of Woodley, and Cllr Mike Smith – Mayor of Earley.
The spacious and warm venue allowed our team to display posters and information about each of the services we provide. Attendees had the opportunity to network, engage in meaningful conversations with our beneficiaries, and connect with our board of Trustees. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, fostering great discussions, idea sharing, and hopefully lots of new connections!
Thank you to everyone who made the effort to come along and make the event so enjoyable. We value each member of our extended community and we loved having lunch together. A small thankyou from us for the partnership and friendship we share with so many.
A huge thankyou also goes to The Link Visiting Scheme team who work so hard to make these occasions so memorable and engaging.
The success of this event has inspired us to make it a regular feature on our annual calendar. We look forward to many more opportunities to bring our community together and celebrate the positive impact we can make when we work collaboratively.
