Summer Party 2022

We had so much to celebrate at our annual Summer Party on Sunday May 29th 2022.  After two long years of reduced contact, it was absolutely joyous to put on our party clothes and get together once again! We ate the most wonderful cream tea with delicious homemade cakes made by volunteers. We had a fun royal themed quiz, the obligatory raffle and lots of singing and laughing together. It was a brilliant party to celebrate the Queen’s 70th Platinum Jubilee.

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible effort of our brilliant staff team who worked so hard in the lead up and on the day, with a special mention to Claire and Beth.  And as always, a huge thank you to our quite amazing volunteers. They drove our Link friends, they helped with set up and set down, they served the drinks, they washed the dishes and most importantly they made all our Link Friends feel special, valued and appreciated. We are so grateful! We want to give a special thank you to all our cake bakers, to Sam Jones for the beautiful flower arrangements and to Adrian Meldrum for his continued help with everything big and small.

We are a small charity, but we make a huge difference to all those in our community who so appreciate and need some friendship and support and of course, a chance to celebrate together!
