We've Moved!

We are incredibly pleased to announce that we have moved office again – and this is the best one yet!

It’s not easy finding a suitable office when you are running a small charity on limited funds and yet it’s crucial to have an office space that enables you to be as effective and efficient as possible.

We have really struggled in the past with offices with no heating, freezing in the winter months with no consistent running water and a temperamental toilet too!  We were so grateful when a fabulous local company ‘NicheCom’ let us use some spare room in their very warm and glamorous offices (for free!)  Sadly, as their business grew, we were desperately on the lookout again. Wokingham Borough Council stepped in and saved the day and we have been happily located at Westcott Annex for the last two years.

So, we were surprised and delighted to be presented with another opportunity from Wokingham Borough Council to join our charity sector colleagues in the new Charity and Community Hub.

Located at Waterford House in Erfstadt Court, we are in the same building as Citizens Advice and a stone’s throw from The Brown Bag café and Giggling Squid restaurant.

Although we will have our own space and remain independent, we will all benefit from shared facilities, a town centre location, (otherwise unaffordable) closer effective networking and most importantly, to be in an accessible space for the benefit and advantage of local residents.

We are grateful to Wokingham Borough Council for the investment they have made into the voluntary sector. We believe it is money well spent as we are empowered to do what we love; serving our community by confronting the serious impact of loneliness and promoting and celebrating friendship every step of the way.
